TnT Pair & Save

Privacy policy

TnT Pair & Save · Last updated 7 November 2026

This policy explains what information the TnT Pair & Save Shopify app ("the app") uses, why, and what happens to it. It applies to merchants who install the app and to visitors of their stores.

Who we are

The app is made by Tech and That Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16754793), 61 Bridge Street, Kington, HR5 3DJ, United Kingdom. We're registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (reference ZC140003).

For anything about this policy or your information, email support@techandthat.com.

The short version

  • The app doesn't collect or store any personal information about your customers. It doesn't ask Shopify for access to customers or orders.
  • The app's storefront code sets no cookies, stores nothing in shoppers' browsers and never contacts our servers. Discounts are worked out by Shopify itself.
  • We store information about your store and its products so the app can show your offers. We erase it 48 hours after you uninstall the app.

Information we use

When you install the app, you give it permission, through Shopify, to read and update parts of your store. We use that access for the following.

Information about your store

  • Your store's Shopify domain, and whether the app is installed.
  • Your store's published languages and markets, so offers can be shown and priced correctly in each one.
  • Your app plan, as reported by Shopify. We never see your payment details; Shopify handles billing.
  • An access token from Shopify that lets the app work with your store. It isn't linked to any member of your staff.

Your products

  • The product details your offers use: titles, handles, status, product types, vendors, tags, SKUs, collections, the main image, and any product fields you choose for rules.
  • The app writes its own information to your products (which add-ons and sets they belong to), so your theme can show offers without contacting our servers.

Your settings in the app

  • Your offers, sets, rules, display names, appearance settings and imports.
  • The customer-facing wording of your offers is stored in your Shopify store (as Shopify content you can translate), not by us.

Your theme and discount

  • The app reads your theme's settings to check that its block and embed are set up. It doesn't change your theme code.
  • The app creates and updates one automatic discount in your store, which Shopify applies at checkout.

Technical logs

  • Our servers keep logs to run the app and fix problems. They can contain your store's domain. Our web server's error log can also contain the IP address of a request that caused an error.

Your customers

The app doesn't collect, receive or store personal information about your customers. It has no access to customers or orders.

On your storefront, the app's code shows your offers from information already in your store, watches your theme's own "add to cart" requests so it can add the chosen add-ons, and talks only to your store's cart. It sets no cookies and uses no browser storage. The discount is calculated by Shopify inside its checkout.

Shopify requires every app to handle requests from customers to see or delete their data. Because the app holds no customer data, there's nothing for us to send or delete, but we still answer these requests when Shopify passes them on.

Why we use it

  • To provide the app to you (our contract with you): showing your offers, keeping them in step with your products, applying discounts and checking your setup.
  • To keep the app secure and working (our legitimate interests): logs, error monitoring and backups.
  • To answer your questions when you contact support.

We don't sell information, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers below.

Service providers

Provider What they do Where
Shopify The platform the app runs in. Your store's information comes from Shopify. See Shopify's privacy policy
DigitalOcean Hosts our servers and database United Kingdom
Amazon Web Services Stores our database backups United Kingdom
Laravel (Forge) Manages our servers, with access to them for maintenance United States
Sentry Error monitoring. Receives error details and your store's domain, never customer data. European Union

Where a provider is outside the UK, we rely on the UK's adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

  • While the app is installed, we keep the information above.
  • When you uninstall the app, Shopify deletes the app's discount straight away. 48 hours later, Shopify asks us to erase your store's data, and we delete your store's settings, offers, product information and access token. If you reinstall within those 48 hours, the app picks up where you left off.
  • Backups of our database are kept for 14 days, so erased data is gone from them within 14 days.
  • Logs and job records are deleted automatically: background job records and application logs within 14 days, and web server error logs within 52 days.
  • If we've given your store free access, we keep your store's domain on our list of such stores until we remove it.
  • Support emails are kept for as long as we need them to help you.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about your store, to correct it, or to delete it. Uninstalling the app deletes it as described above. You can also object to how we use it. Email support@techandthat.com and we'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app uses information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll let merchants know in the app.
